Wynn (Maria) is an Atlanta-based nonbinary senior illustration student at SCAD. Born in Atlanta, they spent five and a half years living in Berlin and three years in Ireland before returning to Atlanta at age 13. Wynn has been creating art on and off for most of their life, but was determined to pursue it when coming to college. They initially enrolled at SCAD for Interior Design before transferring to Illustration. Despite not initially pursuing art, personal growth motivates them to prove themselves as artist and remain adaptable to new challenges.
Wynn aspires to work in product illustration and publication, as well as character design, focusing on storytelling through expressive characters and immersive backgrounds. Their characters often feature elements such as black nails, eyeshadow, masks, gothic influences, and occasional touches of body horror. In their artwork, Wynn enjoys using saturated colors, analogous and complementary palettes, and incorporating varied textures to enhance visual depth and emotion.
